Dipl.-Ing. Martin F. Schmidt

Martin F. Schmidt is the founder and Managing Director of ProGemma Management Consulting for medium-sized family businesses in the field of organisational and corporate development (Lean Management) with the aim of increasing productivity and anchoring new technologies and products. For many years, the engine fitter and graduate mechanical engineer has been supporting companies in translating the mindset of Lean Management into the practice of strategic management.

In his day-to-day work, Martin F. Schmidt seeks answers to his clients’ key questions – e.g. where the company will be in 10 years’ time or how process optimisation can make the company future-proof. He supports companies in setting the right course so that they can react appropriately and adapt to the increasing dynamism and complexity of the market.

From practice – for practice

The multi-award-winning consultant, coach, trainer and speaker Martin F. Schmidt combines commitment, passion, ambition, perseverance and professional expertise with humanity, empathy and helpfulness to form ProGemma’s value system. Already in his mid-30s, the proven practitioner with a flair for feasible solutions switched to the world of consulting. He is passionate about taking a holistic approach to the entire order handling process in companies and organisations in a wide range of industries. He was strongly influenced by his father, among others, who, as a successful head of development, inventor and designer at Melitta, contributed to the significant success of the renowned independent family business through intelligent solutions.

For many years, Martin F. Schmidt has also been involved in various organisations, such as the Bund deutscher Unternehmensberater (German: Association of German Management Consultants), where he provided important impulses as Chairman of the Board of the Fachverband Projektmanagement (German: Project Management Association). Many years ago, he tirelessly emphasised in the Fachverband Sanierung- und Insolvenz (German: Association for Restructuring and Insolvency) that a good corporate culture is of exorbitant importance, especially in difficult times. After all, “best performance” can only be realised if the culture, the team and communication at all levels meet the highest standards. His role model is the “fan principle”, a holistic management control system that is also familiar from the world of sport, for example.

Priority: Customer

For his customers, profitable, pioneering and inspiring solutions are his top priority, true to the concept “We secure the future.” More than 400 projects, both nationally and internationally, with a variety of framework conditions have been successfully implemented under the responsibility of the proven lean expert – for a secure future for companies.
